Take A Hike

Joshua Tree NP - Lost Horse Mine & Willow Hole Trails
Trip Date: April 16 - 18 2010
We ended up doing 2 trails in opposite locations of the park. We were a little early for the wildflowers, but still got some nice pictures. Excitement of the trip - We hiked about 4 miles on the wrong trail the first day never making it to Lost Horse Mine. Second trail was to Willow Hole in which there was NO way to get lost.

Total mileage of this hike is about 22 miles.   Click for more Details about this hike through Joshua Tree National Park

Virginia Lakes Backpack Trip
Virginia Lakes to Upper & Lower Hover Lakes
Trip Date: August 21 - 24 2009
This was suppose to be a fishing trip. I’ve not planned a trip around fishing in over 20 years. The Virginia Lakes area is the perfect place to do that. There’s a great lake to fish every mile or so. Trip didn’t turn out as planed. I got sick on the new “Power Bars” I was trying for the first time and the RAIN ran us out of the valley. It pored for a day and a half without any relief. We did get some nice pictures, some exercise and that was about it..... No fish

Total mileage of this hike is about 11 miles.   Click for more Details about this hike from Virginia Lakes into the Hover Wilderness

Lake Margaret Hike 1
Overnight Hike to Lake Margaret
Trip Date: August 7 - 8 2003
This is a very easy overnight hike. If you are looking for a great place to take a swim, this is it. In some locations, the water just covers the tops of the rocks. This makes for a amazing place to take a nap. Don’t bother taking a fishing pole.

Total mileage of this hike is about 5 miles.   Click for more Details about this hike to Lake Margaret
